20 Questions the Gilmore Girls Revival Needs to Answer!

I cannot even express to you how excited I was when I learned that Amy Shermon-Palladino, the creator/writer of Gilmore Girls, and Netflix, were teaming up to bring us a Gilmore Girls revival, my heart literally exploded and it took me about a day to process this earth shattering news. Once I recovered from my shock, Netflix then announced that it would be in four parts, focusing on the four seasons (fall, winter, spring, and summer) and each episode would be 90 minutes (a la Sherlock). It would be officially named Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life. And then when it was announced that Melissa McCarthy would be back as Sookie...Be still my Gilmore loving heart!

As a (relatively) young woman, I watched Gilmore Girls when it aired on the WB and then the CW, and witnessed Lorelai and Rory through their many relationships, coffee fueled fast talking, and various drama that seemed to follow them everywhere. Gilmore Girls is such a special show to me because I would watch it with my mom and sisters, and it kind of symbolized a time set aside just for us, to celebrate being women and a fervent love of junk food. It made me feel like an honorary Gilmore girl just to watch the show and visit Stars Hollow and it's crazy, lovable characters and their zany (mis)adventures. (Though let's try to forget that giant mess that was the seventh season, shall we?)

Which was why I was so, so, so happy when I learned that the revival was happening. But it raised multiple questions that I had to know, about Lorelai, Rory, Luke, Emily, Sookie and the rest of the characters. What are they up to now? How have the years changed them? We'll know soon enough when Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, but until then, these are the very pressing questions that I hope will be answered!

Entertainment Weekly/Via:
#20: What new topics are going to be discussed at the town hall meetings? (Hopefully not that pesky deer problem! Or the birds that pooped everywhere!)

#19: What new jobs will Kirk have? (Remember in one of the first episodes he was named Mick?)

#18: Is Luke's Diner still doing a good business or did Caesar add some new items to the menu without Luke knowing? ("How about a nice plate of chicken fingers?")

#17: How are Lane, Zach, and their twin boys doing?

#16: Is Hep Alien still together?

#15: Is Taylor Doose still running the town along with the market and ice cream shop? Has he conquered other parts of town? (Luke would hate that)

#14: What's this new musical the town is performing, Stars Hollow: The Musical? Is this another of Taylor's ideas to bring more tourism to the town?

#13: What's the hot gossip with Babette and Miss Patty?

#12: Is Al's Pancake World still cooking up international cuisine?

#11: How is Mrs. Kim doing? Is she a stern or doting grandma to two (most likely rambunctious) young boys?

#10: Why are Colin and Finn going to show up? Does that mean that Logan is up to his old Life and Death Brigade ways? (ugh. Logan)

#9: Did Sookie and Jackson ever have that third baby after Jackson's fake vasectomy? And how old are Davey and Martha now?

#8: What is Paris up to? Is she a doctor, is she still with Doyle, are they taking over the world? (God help us all)

#7: How's business at the Dragonfly Inn? Is Michel running the concierge desk with an iron and very sarcastically French fist?

#6: Why is Christopher back? (Besides the fact that he's Rory's father. He just f*cks everything up for everyone)

Speaking of f*cking everything up....

#5: Is April going to f*ck up everything again for Luke and Lorelai?

#4: How is Emily doing after the death of Richard? Is she dating again or still in mourning?

#3: What is Rory doing and where is she working? Is she finally a journalist or a foreign correspondent?

#2: Are Luke and Lorelai engaged or married??? (They deserve happiness after all the sh*t they've been through!)

And most importantly....

#1: Why are Dean, Jess, and Logan all returning and WHO WILL RORY PICK?? (Team Jess!)

Whatever happens, we'll have until winter (supposedly) to wait till it's released to find out! But what's most important is that our Gilmore Girls will be back! *heart eyes emojis for days*
